As the Director of Online Program Sales, your primary responsibility is to lead and oversee the sales efforts of the company’s online programs. You will develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, increase customer acquisition, and maximize the profitability of online program sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for online programs, including setting sales targets, identifying target markets, and establishing pricing and discounting strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Set performance goals, monitor sales activities, and evaluate individual and team performance. Foster a high-performing and motivated sales team culture.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base for online programs. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and affiliates. Utilize various sales channels, such as direct sales, online platforms, and partnerships, to reach target customers.
  • Sales Operations: Establish and optimize sales processes, workflows, and systems to streamline the sales cycle and improve efficiency. Implement sales analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor sales trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Sales Collateral and Materials: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop sales collateral, presentations, and materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of online programs. Ensure sales materials are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with the company’s branding guidelines.
  • Sales Training and Enablement: Develop and deliver sales training programs to equip the sales team with product knowledge, sales techniques, and objection handling skills. Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to sales representatives to enhance their selling capabilities.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs and preferences. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and incorporate market insights into sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast sales revenues, track actual performance against targets, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management. Identify areas of revenue growth and develop action plans to achieve sales goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the online education or e-learning industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of online sales processes, digital marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
