Toronto School of Management (TSoM) has emphasized that certain travel restrictions for international students and visitors to Canada have been eased by the Canadian government, effective Feb. 28.
On-arrival testing for fully-vaccinated travelers will be made easier by the Canadian government. Arrival testing, on the other hand, will be done at random.
Key Takeaways:
- According to the Toronto School of Management, certain travel restrictions for international students and visitors to Canada have been lifted.
- While travelers await test results, quarantine will no longer be required. Quarantine will no longer be required for fully vaccinated international students.
- To travel to Canada, students will still need appropriate immigration documents and will need to use the ArriveCAN application to give travel details.
TSoM, on its website, has noted that quarantine will no longer be required while travelers await test results. Fully vaccinated international students will no longer need to quarantine.
Unless they fit one of the rare exceptions, unvaccinated international travelers will not be allowed to enter Canada.
Travelers will now be able to use the results of a COVID-19 quick antigen test (taken the day before their scheduled flight or arrival via a marine or land border). Travelers can also undergo a molecular test up to 72 hours before their scheduled flight or arrival at land or maritime border.
TSoM also noted that students will still require appropriate immigration documents to travel to Canada and they will also need to use the ArriveCAN application to provide travel information.
Moreover, students must still send an email to covid.support@TorontoSoM.ca two weeks before their trip to allow the TSoM team to review their immigration and vaccination documents.
Students who plan on flying with Air Canada are encouraged to send an email as well to receive a 15% discount code for flights.Â
