As part of the AU$50 million Victorian Government program, La Trobe University international students will receive additional support to help them transition back to campus, continue their studies remotely, and find work after graduation.
With the Foreign Education Resilience Fund, the university will receive AU$5,083,137 and will roll out activities to support new and existing international students in 2022.

- Improve their online academic skills, English language skills, and comprehension of Australian culture, they can make use of specialized learning help;
- Participate in virtual industry initiatives and learn while they work;
- Make connections with mentors both in Australia and abroad, focusing on La Trobe’s regional industrial network;
- Participate in workshops focusing on workplace culture in both Australian and international professional settings; and
- Get financial aid and mental health support for students studying onshore.
The International Education Resilience Fund provides funding to Victorian universities for international student welfare and support services, improved remote and offshore teaching and learning delivery, and greater student engagement programs and events.
