As Ireland’s capital city, Dublin has a reputation for being an expensive city, and high cost of living, and this includes food. In fact, according to Numbeo, the average price of food at an inexpensive restaurant in Dublin costs around EUR 15. 

However, there are still plenty of restaurants in this beautiful city where you can enjoy good food without spending a lot of money. For example, instead of checking out famous restaurants usually suggested by tourists, explore the city and you are sure to find some of the city’s affordable culinary treasures.

Bread and Bones Restaurant

Try an American-Asian fusion restaurant at the heart of the city when you visit Bread and Bones restaurant. From burgers and fried chicken to Baos, Banh-Mis, Kimchi, craft beers, and wine, you can get everything from Bread and Bones. Aside from its meaty choices, Bread and Bones also provide vegetarian options such as vegan Beyond Burgers, and so on. 

Aside from its affordable food, Bread and Bones restaurant is also known for having a friendly crew and great service.

Its food served in larger portions may cost around EUR 14. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option, you can check the restaurant out during lunch, from 12 nn to 3 pm, and avail of its lunch menu that only cost around EUR 10. If you want something unique, you can try its kimchi-loaded fries for EUR 6.50. 

Pablo Picante

If you are a fan of Mexican food, you can visit Pablo Picante, a California-inspired burrito place. Pablo Picante offers a selection of tortas, tornillos, and burritos that customers can avail of from as low as EUR 2 to around EUR 10. 

Aside from those, there are also many Mexican side dishes such as quesadillas and chips, and guacamole that one can avail of from EUR 3. to EUR 3.95.  For those looking to pair their food with liquor, the restaurant also serves different types of beers, some beers go as low as EUR 3.95 to EUR 6.95. 

Shouk Restaurant

Care for a little Mediterranean cuisine? Located at Drumcondra, Dublin is Shouk that serves a variety of Mediterranean food, from vegetarian, vegan, to meat dishes, so everyone is welcome to try its food. Some of the food it serves include falafel, hummus, roasted vegetables, baba ganoush, shawarma pita, herb salad, and so on. 

Aside from the main meal, customers are also able to try more than the ones they ordered due to the many complementary dishes the restaurant serves. Prices of food can be as low as EUR 5 to EUR 15. 

Sano Pizza

Sano Pizza dubs its pizza as fresh, affordable, and delicious pizza. This pizza place prides itself on making its pizzas the Neapolitan way, such as using sourdough for its base and cooking it in a traditional stone oven, at 500 degrees. Aside from being delicious and authentic, Sano also ensures its pizzas are healthy, by lowering its salt content, compared to most traditional pizzas. 

Sano Pizzas only cost between EUR 6 to EUR 11. Moreover, its pizzas are not only catered to meat-eaters, as there’s also an option to buy gluten-free and vegan pizzas.
